Starting to get really fed up looking for a sharer or even someone who just wants to hack a couple of mornings a week!
I've advertised on Newrider (twice!), the local tack shop / feed store etc but no real joy.
Don't get me wrong I've had some response but I have put in the advert that I need someone a minimum of 2 weekdays & I get people who can only ride at weekends!! Or I get someone wanting a full loan & moving him to another yard.
It's not like he's difficult in any way & we have such great facilities at the yard & super doorstep hacking - before I had a horse I'd have chewed someones arm off!!
Anyone got any other ideas that will help please??

I would love to find a nice share and share owner to give me the benefits of their knowledge - in Teesside!
Unfortunately I would prefer Thursday & Friday evenings and weekends due to childcare issues.

I know so many people in the same boat, myself included. All you can do is keep advertising. Have you tried www.horsehunter.co.uk or www.ridemyhorse.co.uk ??

Try printing really bright posters to put up in tack shops to catch peoples eye, try your local paper and ad-trader.....

Its amazing how many people will ring and say 'I'm learning to canter'' when you've advertised for an experienced confident rider, or just be totally unsuitable but there must be someone out there somewhere!

Honestly , when I was a teenager, or even now if I didn't have my own, I'd have given my right arm for a horse to share but it seems sharers are hard to find these days.

Oh no - no one down South then!!
It's definately all changed since I was younger, everyone interested in horses seems to have their own horse already!!
Thanks for your replies though

Unfortunately thats a bit far for me. Am losing hope in fiding a share horse. So many people give us bad names

I'm looking for a share horse and am free on weekdays, just a bit too far away from you

my problem is there aren't a lot of people wanting riders down here and if there is a horse a lot of people tend to ring up about it!
