I've seen quite a lot if posts lAtely about competitions and I enter a lot really just on off chance, have never won a thing which won't surprise you I suppose. Lol. But where do you find who has won when you enter a mag comp ? Or online ones I suppose. I entered to win the horse box online and didn't get that either

do we have any winners on here??? Anyone got any top tips I'm skint and crimbo is coming faster than I'd like have seen there are books on how to win comps! WTF
 
I won something on the Managemyhorse website. A pair of turnout chaps, last winter. Ordinarily, like you, I never win anything so almost fainted when they phoned me.

Keep trying. Like they say, "You've got to be in it, to win it!" *cringe*
 
so people do win , Lucky you I would love to win a bar of choclit right now. Might have to become a professional competition enterer lol. Surely if I enter enough I might win something. Had you entered much before you won working out me odds yes very skint.
 
Actually I'd only just joined the website and it was the first or second of their competitions I'd entered. So, as you can imagine it was a bit shock. A nice one though.

I do the monthly magazine comps (in Horse, Your Horse, Horse and Rider and Horse Deals) but so far, nothing....

Maybe join the Manage My Horse website? I was recommended it on here, and low and behold I won something. I'm Spyda on there, too.

I've been quite lucky with a few of the magazine comps ie tickets to Windor Horse show and olympia, and a few smaller items.

You can enter some of the comps on the magazine web sites.

It is inspiring to hear that so many do enter and to read about the winners. It is unusual to get winners posting in huge detail but we do get some put it on the forum like the one below. I love to hear from my members and I love calling them with the happy call!!

Here is a winner from my site who won last month she was very happy indeed with their rainbow rugs - winner

ps- once a month we send an email to members. The day does vary a little but usually around the tenth of the month.
 
I won tickets to see the Lipizzaners (unfortunately not the real spanish riding school) at the MEN on Granada. My Gran did phone them about 100 times though to give my name bless her! Made my 3 times seem like nothing!

Had just had major spinal surgery and i was in agony the whole way through, but it was soo worth it

And i got free goodies, like a soft toy, a bag, a program etc. Cheered me up so much. Only thing i have ever won though, I'm about due another i think

I always enter the Your Horse online comps but never win

The only comp i've ever won was a Radio 1 competition for a signed Orlando Bloom pic (back when Pirates of Carribean was being promoted) but I was even disappointed with that cuz he only signed it OB!!
 
Manage My Horse is the best site for winning stuff! So far I have won tickets to Blenheim (sadly the year it was canceled but that's not MMHs fault!), a sack of topspec balancer, and the brilliant Georgie Spence prize they had recently - a lesson with Georgie, 10 bales of horsehage (amazingly useful when you have just moved onto DIY for the first time in 5 years!!) and a set of trizone boots for my horse. Brilliant.

I have to say though,. I am very good - I know I have won a lot on there, but I do only enter the prizes I really want/need - I did not enter the rug one for example. I do this because I know Cate is v fair and does first name out of the hat, and so I have come up a fair few times, and so I think it is only fair to stay out of the ones I am not desperate for! Good karma and all that...seems to be working anyway!!

I am just in the process of organising our 12 days of Christmas comp and I have to say there are loads of rugs in there so hope you do still enter! I know from experience members LOVE rugs so I am doing my best to keep everyone happy but don't want to put anyone off either

You just have to keep entering everything. I've won numerous things over the past 2 or 3 years like a big hamper of Supreme Products stuff, jodphurs, lots of little bags of horse treats, supplements etc. Within the last 3 months I've won a bottle of Karma and a free bag of Speedibeet

All you can do is enter though! I'm yet to win anything off Manage My Horse though!

I also used to do reviews for a horsey magazine and got to keep what they sent including a £75 pair of jods and lots of horsey shampoo etc.

No, no, don't get me wrong, I think rugs are a superb prize, it's just that as I did not *need* another fleece or TO rug I thought I'd save my luck and boost someone else's chance of winning! If it were a thermatex I may not have been so magnanimous....

And I usually enter the ariat ones too, despite not needing any boots!

I think you have a super selection of prizes - I wasn't being negative!
 
I won a Mark Todd Turnout rug on manage my horse this month. I never win anything usually either, but two days later I came 2nd in a photo comp at work and won a bottle of wine which actually turned out to be £15 out of petty cash which is actually a few bottles of wine!!!. I must do the lottery this week now....

I can't deny it, by some bizarre twist of fate it does seem to be me! Most unlikely but none the less true!

I was really excited when I got the call.

I wish I had got it out of storage this weekend as I didn't realise it was going to be so cold. Will get it out in the next few days once my clippers are repaired and I can get my horse clipped
