What have you done with your neds today?

Are they in or out?

Mine are currently in, its too hot out there for them, so they are out at night and in through the day.

I am hiding indoors because I dont like the heat and sitting on here instead of doing housework

Mine are in their houses! I will turn them out later on when it starts to cool down a bit. I nearly always in the summer have them in all day and out by night.

I got a little bit burnt yesterday - so am hiding in the house today!

Mine is out 24/7 with a tree and some hedging as shelter/shade, and we've just got back from a 2hr 15min hack

She was so sweaty I had to chuck two buckets of water over her

My TB has been in 9am-6pm and out at night but as of yesterday he is out 24/7.
My pony is always out 24/7 anyways.
Both have lots of trees for shelter, providing the cows haven't nicked the best shade.

My Marshmellow is out, simply because at the livery yard he's on there's no 24/7 turnout, and he has the option to be in the shade atleast :/
Plus, he actually seemed hotter in his stable the other day o_O

In his nice new stable as he has to be in for 24 hours before he can go out. New to me today from Holland worming tonight and vet tomorrow for all his tests and jabs.

How is it too hot for horses? It is rarely too hot in this country - horses should be given adequate shelter and they are fine. Mine have spent most of the day stood out snoozing in the sun - they have tonnes of shade but have chosen to be in the sun. There's a pleasant breeze after all.

Took mine to GG centre in York this morning for a bit of jumping schooling) (ok so that got a tad warm but he - and me - needs to burn some calories off!_and a run round the gallops and then, as above, he's been enjoying himself in the field for the remainder of the day.

My 2 are in today, we have no shelter what so ever, and i think its unfair to leave them in blazing sunshine 24/7.
