I want to find myself a nice, easy going hunter under 16.2hh that will look after me out hunting, jump what I want to and behave itself!!

I am fed up of having to hunt horses that think its fun scaring the life out of me and have decided now that I'm a bit older, I want something easy. The TB is going as a companion because he refuses to stay mended. The youngster is for sale.

Where do I find one of these mannerly creatures that doesn't cost the earth?!!

When you say 'don't cost the earth' what do you mean by that? Tough, sound, easy ladies hunters cost a fair bit once they are proven to do the job!

I've got a little Irish horse to sell who I believe will be a cracking hunter. He has 'hunted in Ireland' .... haven't they all!!!! At the moment I am treating him as an unproven hunter given that he hasn't hunted over here. He is a cracking jumper, very careful, not at all hot, very mannerly and behaved very well on a hunt ride which I suppose is as close as you can get without actually going hunting.

As soon as Autumn hunting starts, if he isn't sold by then, he will be out.
Now you can take a punt on him for 3.5K unproven (he has won dressage and sj this summer also) but if I have him out for half a season and he proves to be as good as I think he is going to be, I am fully expecting him to sell for more off the hunting field.

I know of a very, very straightforward and mannerly hunter, 16hh but he is 15yrs and does windsuck. They dont want much money for him and he'll hunt all day long like a true gentleman.
