Companion pony is in the sin bin for shooting out of the stable door between my un-headcollaring him and getting the door unhooked and shut. He knows he shouldn't do this, I thought this meant he'd learnt not to do it, turns out he was just taking a long break. He has no respect for a chain and just rams into it, then the clips at the side snap, so he's having a bar up. It really annoys me and it is potentially dangerous. Anyone know where I can get a good one, please?

Scaffolding poles cut to size and metal brackets work for my tank, but she is also clever, she puts the poles under her jaw/gullet and slides them across. We had to put hook and eye on the top pole.

I got the local blacksmith to make the brackets. My doors have a wall on one side so we cut a hole that was just a bit bigger that the wooden planks we used as bars .
The bar slides into two metal brackets that’s where it stays when it’s open then you slide it across and it fits snugly in it hole in the wall .
We have holes in the outside bracket and the bar and there’s a pin that you put through to stop the horses sliding it themselves .
The pin is attached to a chain so you can’t lose it .
