I've just moved to Aberdeenshire where I'm lucky enough to have facilities to keep my horse at home as apposed to keeping her at livery. However, I now no longer have access to any jumps!

Does anyone know of anywhere that I can get some cheap jump stands and poles from?

Please help!

I made a set of show jumps, gate filler, road up etc from reclaimed timber. I had to buy poles & cups, that was the costliest part. I used coloured preservative to colour them & they cost very little to make, and are very easy to build. Have a go, you'll save a fortune.

I make jump stands. They cost me £12 a pair. My carpentry skills are rubbish so they look naff but oldest ones have lasted 5yrs already.
I buy tanalised wood from local DIY store so don't even bother to paint or cresote them. They do the job well. Takes me about 3hrs to make a pair though now I've got a Circular saw and therefore no hand sawing required, should get them done quicker in future!
