I try and buy a few ponies once in a while to break/bring on and sell.

Previously i have found them in private adverts but they tend to have either been half started or come from 'dodgy' homes.

Some of the sales/markets are a bit risky as you don't really know what your bringing home and i hear so many stories about how people bought a 7 year old and it turned out to be 3 etc etc...
Obviously i know i could get a nice youngster if i was to pay decent money but for a project horse/pony my budget is slightly smaller!

I already have an ex racer (and the baggage that has come with her) so i am looking for some more blank canvas type horses and ponies ready to be broken or that have been lightly backed. Just wondered if anyone had any ideas??

And we might be interested in either of those 2 once nicely backed and brought on if not too far away from Berkshire, as my tall 10 yo daughter really is too tall for the 11.2 she has on loan - she likes jumping at the mo and her feet can hit the poles. Think we'd like something straight forward next, as the 11.2 has been a good learning experience

!

Also, definately hit the sales for M&M pones - they go for low prices, have bags of character & sense & last forever if their legs are in the right place to start with.
