Where did the Patrick post go?

It was fairly defamatory!! Even if the whole story is completely true, there were mobile numbers of the alleged harrassers so admin probably deleted it.

I hadn't read todays updates, I last read it yesterday, so don't know what the latest posts were. It's a terribly sad and shocking story. I hope he's found.
I would imagine admin had to delete it because the people who are suspected of stealing him were identified.

Id agree with this too! Have to admit after the OP posted they had rang to threaten to shoot her I questioned the truthfullness in it. If it is true awful situation....

It was a strange story. My first thought was sales dispute, but the poster did claim to post crime reference numbers. I googled the dealer's name mentioned on the adhorse page, and found an article about someone who had been sentenced for tack theft. Hopefully the horse is ok.

Yes it all went a bit bizarre.

If it is true it is truly shocking - couldn't find the horse posted on stolen horse register - or is that just me??

Also hope that the girl (?) is ok as well as the horse if one of the last posts was true - however if that had happened to me I wouldn't be posting on here!!

Mind you if any of my horses were stolen I would probably become hysterical and not act rationally either

Tried to look at the post "Moved" and got told off by Admin, which is Sh*T as it made me feel I was doing something wrong. I was intersted what had happened and as I live in Bedfordshire, I would like to know the Dealer's name.

Its on Horse Mart, about this stolen 18.2hh horse, on the latest horses section, about 2nd page. Full details names, numbers places etc. I truley beleive the people and feel extremley sorry for them, but if they are so sure who has stolen the horse and can prove they still legally own him why cant the Police go and get a warrent and search the yard where the horse is or question the 2 people concerned, after all she has already been done for stolen tack.

I think because they often say it's a civil matter.

If the dealer had taken the horse to sell on,for instance and then not given the original owner the money. To my mind, that is theft, but I don't think it is always classed as such.

Whoopsie I think I may of put my foot in it!! just made a post in stolen horses, I blame the forum for being so slow, lol I will ask for it to be deleted.

There is a strange ad which has just been posted on Horsemart. The photo looks like the 18.2 There are a lot of spelling mistakes and rantings about two people (named) in Lowestoft. I am starting to think this is not a straight forward theft! Have a look. Oops I jsut noticed someone had posted this info at the same time as I was typing this!

Well I wonder to the truthfulness of the story. I pm'd the OP twice offering to help as I lived locally but never got a call/text or anything. If OP was that worried they would be trying everything nit ignoring offered help

i know forum members that have spoken to the OP and it seems they are helping her and that the theft is genuine.

I got that message too whe I clicked on "moved". Whatever the ins and outs of this case it is very strange wording on the message from admin.

The thing i found strange about the post was that i had said something along the lines of horse last seen on the horsebox/trailer at what ever time. Was there something done at this time? Such as police phoned or why did no one follow the horsebox/trailer until the police could get there. Or was this the last sighting of him? I was a little confused.

I'm a bit confused as well... I live locally and offered to help... She asked me if i knew where Gilly Lodge Farm was in Bury but never heard of the place... couldnt find it on the net and none of my friends in the area had heard of it either.... I hope we get the hear the outcome....

I actually spoke to the lady in question. She seemed totally devasted in tears on the phone. She did tell me some points that reading both adverts seem to be true. There is a dispute over a coloured gelding between both parties, which is confirmed in the "other" persons advert and the first lady told me about which is an ongoing civil case, she did buy the grey from the accused party and two others hence confusion on photos.

I stil thinking it is fully worthwhile that we all keep a look out for this horse, and if anyone seems him contact the police, so they can deal with it.

I know which side I prefer to believe of the saga but we have all been conned before, however I would prefer to do something for the sake of the horse (and if the owner is genuine) get them back together, however I think if he is seen or found it is best to inform the police to let them fully deal with the matter.

Yesterday there was another advert on Horsemart from the second party in this saga alledging that the first party had stolen a coloured gelding and the grey Irish had not been stolen, but taken in lieu of payment for the coloured (hopefully your keeping up), this advert has seemingly since dissappeared, but dozens upon dozens of the original advert have appeared on every horse related website you can think of.

Is there someone from Missing horses on loan that comes on here?? (or have I dreamed that??)

Perhaps they could confirm that this whole sorry saga is as Patrick states and that they are involved???

It would be an awful shame if this story is true and people stop looking because they think it is some squabble between dealers

Does anyone know anyone from Missing horses that could get confirmation??
