My mare is 20 years old today, how did that happen. It doesnt seem like 17 years that she quite by accident walked into our !ives. Over the last 17 years she has stolen so many hearts, emptied my bank account, taught three generations the real meaning of horse ownership and riding and three generations what love of a horse is. In 2007 following finally getting a diagnosis for her we were told to just enjoy her for as long as she was with us someone just forgot to tell her that. She never gave up and we never gave up on her and so today we will be celebrating her 20 th birthday but wondering where did the last 17 years go and look back at what she taught us and our achievements together but most of all be thankful she's still with us. Happy birthday Millie.

Happy Birthday - I have a similar horse, bought at 6 and totally wrong for me - a sharp unhappy badly treated ID. Now 27 and despite the fact that her for sale ad was written so many times, I never could quite part with her and now treasure every memory!
