Myself and Danni ('GypsyGirl' on here) keep our horses on a private grass livery and they are out 24/7.
Our YO is brilliant, she checks her retired lot and our cobs and feeds them all and everything - needless to say we have always been grateful for what a good service we get for our money.
We've recently been thinking about getting some portable stables or shelters since we are on rented farmers land. Our field is very very exposed and they currently don't have any proper sheltering apart from the odd bushes/trees. Although our cobs do fine its impossible to tack up/groom if even slightly windy with a horse tied to a post completely exposed so we think a portable shelter/stable is just what we need.
Students here so true to form we're on a budget!
So..
1) Where did you get yours?/Any good suggestions?
2) How would we go about asking YO's permission to buy stables/shelter at our own expense and erect it on the rented land? We don't want her to think we are taking the p*ss because she's brilliant already, its just a case of improving the facilities at our own expense!
