It's been a while since I've reported, and that's because I've been in Pony Jail for such a long time now! :( By myself, with only the people that are using the big bright lifting spiky things with wheels on, in the place next to the pony jail, for company. And sometimes, I can see other horses in the field that is down the path, or making circles in the new square place. :(

The Carrot Lady brings me my blue bucket with food in, which is good! :) And lots more carrots lately than usual, which is also good! :) But I want more hay. And preferably more blue buckets with food in. And there's no proper grass here. :(

We've gone for some trots in the woods, but a few days ago, we went to see the Scary Chicken Flap Man again in the square place with a roof on. I didn't want to make circles, so I walked backwards lots and bucked whenever the Carrot Lady asked me to trot. But she smacked my bum! And I tried bucking some more, but it didn't work. She just smacked my bum again.

Then the Scary Chicken Flap Man came, and the Carrot Lady stood beside the door. He put TWO of those long reiny ropey things on me that they put on when you have to go on big circles around them with the long thin stick with the flappy bit on in the middle! Usually, they only put one, but he put two, and then he wanted me to start walking and trotting and stopping and lots of that over and over. I don't know what it was all about, and he's a little scary! So I turned around and ran in circles the other way around him, and that went on for a while. Then he made me turn around again the way I didn't want to go, so I tried to kick him, but the long thin stick with the flappy bit on grabbed my tail! That was really really scary. Then I tried to run away, but he didn't let me do that either. So I walked in circles some more. What was all that about? Was it necessary?

The next day, the Carrot Lady took me to make circles in the new square place that I can see from pony jail. She wanted me to go sideways lots. I don't know why she's so intent on going sideways all the time; it's a lot more efficient to go straight! I had to do the thing where I walk sort of sideways with my bum to the fence, and I thought I was doing it right, but she clearly didn't agree, so she poked me with her stick, and then she got off and tried to get me to walk along the fence beside her, but I wasn't doing that right either, so she poked me some more! Whenever I tried to walk forward, she stopped me, and if I tried to walk backward, she stopped me, and it was all really really annoying, so I tried to bite her, to show her I wasn't happy about all the nagging. And that was wrong too; that really got me told off! And then, I got put back in Pony Jail.

As if all that wasn't enough, there was a Needle Man, not once, but twice! And both times, he had a needle, and it hurt. The second time was today, and it was really awful: first, I didn't even get to be in Pony Jail, but in one of those stall places, the high security pony jails, and there wasn't any food there at all, and I had to be there all night, all by myself! :( And then the Needle Man came to jab me with the needle, and when I tried to say no, he made my nose hurt so bad, I couldn't do anything but wait for him to let go. :( But he did let go, and my nose is ok now. :)

Tonight, it's cold and wet, and I'm in pony jail again. But at least I have some hay now!

Why has all of this been happening to me? And where can I complain?

Spooky pony,
I wonder if your carrot lady will do a swap with my carrot lady. My carrot lady has made me stay in the field in this weather.I am gonna be so grumpy in the morning, I hate getting my feet muddy.

My carrot lady gave me my bucket of food and in the wooden thing with a roof which was so much dryer and I didnt want to go out of it. But she dragged me out in the rain!!! I would love to stay in out of the weather and away from the dimwit of a cob she put in MY field!!!! Hes a pain in the butt, he keeps watching me eat my hay even though he has a pile of his own. And then cries when I kick him for being a pain in the butt.

Carrot lady said that I cant go in the wooden thing because the grass is growing back, I dont get it, she says that and then fences it off saying there is too much grass. Grass is grass and thats what I want to eat so why does it matter if I eat it round the wooden thing. Then I can go back in when it rains. What makes it sooo much worse is she made me do circles and zigzag things in the other part of the grass place while it was raining!!!!! Like you I did my best to get her off but it didnt work so I thought I better behave and get on with it. So up for swapping my grass place for your stall thing ?? Samba x

Thanks everybody for your sympathy! They haven't cut my fur off yet...there was a person with a thing that went whrrrrrr on the yard, but although I was worried, he stayed well away from me! Samba, your grass sounds really really good, although I'm a bit confused by the rest of your situation...

Dear Spooky, how nice to hear from you again. I too have been wondering about the motivation of the humans :D The Human I own made me do circles and things on MY grass on Sunday  I thought it would be quicker to not go in straight lines and so was 'cutting the corners' apparently, and was accused of being a banananana (still haven't met one of those in real life!) Then the stupid woman said, well if you want to go sideways, here we go and I had to go all along one side of the field, facing the wall  I tried to go backwards too, but got hit on my side by 'Mr multi-coloured stick', so had to do the silly 'sideways walking with your legs crossed' stuff. :( Mind you the Big Grey Numpty didn't fare much better, she wouldn't walk forwards for Auntie A, so TPIO got on (Auntie A had a bad neck for ages and ages so is a bit wafty at the moment) and had to walk round on MY grass  then she had to do it again for Auntie A :D :D :D ha ha ha.
Wish I could have some of your carrots, but you can have a (very) few of my grass nuts :)

Dear Spooky Pony,

These humans are bit odd and mean aren't they!

My mum abandoned me with my mask on and left me to fend for myself! Nan came down to say hello every now and again but I didn't really notice her and she didn't take my mask off either  This weekend Nan took it off so when mum came down I figured if I let her catch me she would just put it back on again! So I ran ;) Don't think mum was too impressed, she looked very tired and was shouting things and waving things at me  Yesterday she tried to make me go in circles but I didn't want too. When she put the jumps upI decided it wasn't worth my effort to do the tiny ones so I zoomed round really really fast to get it over and done with. Apparently that's bad? And after all that she got on me and made me walk round my field! She wanted to go fast but I couldn't be bothered so just pulled her too the gate :p It must have worked because she got off and gave me a bucket of grub, yum!

I don't know what she's planning today but I have a feeling she might be a bit nice to me today cause Nan said she's going 'back' today. Dunno what that means.

Hope your mum gives you more hay soon!

Phillip x

Dear Appy Mare,
what is it with these people and walking sideways with your legs crossed? But let me reassure you that those banananas really aren't worth any of your time; they're too squishy, and not very tasty.

Dear Phillip,

Do you mean one of those basket things over your nose?? I've had one of those! There was a horrible one that went over my whole nose, and I made it perfectly clear I didn't want it on and walked backwards lots until the Carrot Lady said she felt sorry for me, and then she put the other one on. It was more flat, and a lot less annoying, but still really annoying. It took me a few days, but I finally managed to get round the side of it so I could eat properly. But then I got put in pony jail. I hope you get rid of that basket thing for good soon, without ending up in pony jail!
