Where do I start?

Hello,

I'm interested in getting out and about abit more with my horse. He is 19 and thinking of starting with some Veteran classes? Do you have to be a member of the Veteran Horse Society or British Dressage? We also still jump for fun but focusing on flatwork until the new year. How do you find out what competitions are going on and how do know which ones to do to qualify for certain things?

Sorry, never really done anything like this before other then local shows.

Hi some of my local venues do veteran dressage comps, they are UA but if you qualify for the Vet horse champs, you have to join up to go. I'd google your local venues and look through their dressage schedules to see if there are any veteran classes.

The veteran horse society have a fb page and a website, so if you're interested I'd have a look there first...
