Where do people purchase their inhalers from?

Hullo folks,
My 16 year TB was recently diagnosed with RAO (Aka COPD / Heaves) Had steroid shot and course of ventipulmin, which hasn't really made any difference so vet is recommending inhalers. He said to buy them online and then ring their office so they can send prescription to the company. The problem is I can't find anywhere that offers this option, as they all seem to require you to fill out a patient questionnaire forum and then contact your GP, I'm assuming for the GP bit that's where I'd send the veterinary prescription but have no clue on the patient questionnaire part. How does everyone else get their inhalers for their beasts? He needs a Salbutamol and a Flixtoxide inhaler.
 
Could you take your prescription to a chemist and see how much they cost.
I used to get my equine steroids from the hospital pharmacy and i know they assisted the vets direct before providing emergency medicine.
 
I got mine from the vet, one is cheap and the other is not! Think one was under a tenner and one about £80.

Bought a kids spacer from Amazon (at the vets suggestion)

The inhalers are exactly the same as human ones, the blue is the same dosage and the brown 2.5x my own prescriptions.

I just take the vet prescription to the local pharmacy. Rigsby has his own patient account there now 🤣

The only issue I have is that they really question the dose. I have to explain that Rigsby is a horse every time!

I also use a baby spacer from Amazon. Around £10.
 
Flixotide £45.90 Ventolin £4.59 from my vet, so no additional prescription charge. Spacer was about £12, I think, from local pharmacy. 1 to 5 years I think, would have to check next time I use it.
 
I use daily chemistry and get 3 ventolin delivered, £8.99 each. 99.9% sure they have never contacted my Dr as they do an online consult. I would fill it out then put vets name if asks and see what happens !! Pretty sure u can buy them over counter in France without prescription too, just in case u r going on holiday anytime soon !!
 
I'm new to this as well. I bought a child's "spacer" from Amazon. It came with a little mask that goes on the end of the spacer. It is designed for children. I put the mask over one of my horse's nostril and the puffer at the other end. The meds are delivered through the spacer and mask into horse's nostril when you press on the puffer. You're supposed to time the puff for when the horse is about to breathe in. It took my horse a couple of goes but now I think he rather likes it. I can do it one-handed while holding the headcollar with the other hand. Vet has written me a prescription and I phoned my local pharmacy who have said they are happy to give me the medication even though it is for a horse - apparently, they do it all the time.
