Where do you buy Egusin from? What do you think of it?

After extensive research, I think I am going to put my TB on Egusin for a course and then put him on GastriX to se if it improves his grumpiness and girthing issues. I see that you can buy Egusin on eBay but I wondered if anyone could answer a few Q's for me if they have tried it?

1. Is it legal to bring it into the UK?
2. Does it have the same inhibitive action as GG (this is the reason I don't want to go down the GG route again as it trashed my other horses insides for months)
3. Is eBay the only place to buy Egusin?
4. How much is it roughly with shipping? I can't see this on eBay without clicking 'Buy Now' and then I will be committed!

Thanks in advance :D

I bought mine from forage plus. I started with a tub of the SLH, and now have moved on to the 250. I have noticed an improvement in droppings, and also a small improvement in general condition (though condition was ok before). I've also noticed an improvement in his feet, though this could be down to other factors.

All in all, I'm glad I tried it, and have had no negative effects at all (aside from my other horse trying to steal TB's feed!)

Hi - mine is on the SLH and I'm just wondering whether you used the 250 as a follow up course or if they then have to stay on it long term/forever thereafter to sustain the results? I don't seem to be able to get an answer on this anywhere and so wondered what you have done?

You normally use Egusin as a minimum four week treatment.

The SLH for 14 - 21 days, followed by the 250 for 14 days to however long.

After that you can stay on the 250 long term - or use another gut aid long term....such as Yea-sacc, Brewer's Yeast, Protexin etc.

This is the company who make the Egusin with info on the ingredients.

Thanks OberBaubles - that's just the info I needed! :-) I will give him one course/tub of Egusin 250 once the SLH finishes and then I have some Brewer's Yeast for after that. Thank you for your advice.

And yes Prince33Sp4rkle, it is bl**dy expensive isn't it, otherwise I probably would consider keeping him on the 250 longer term!! Yikes! Agreed, good stuff though :)

Yes, perhaps. He has started to look a bit iffy again. But it could be entirely unrelated. I'm just left wondering if it would have been better to do a bit more than the bare minimum.
