Do you have enough bit knowledge to bit your horse? And where do you get your bits from?

I am new to making polls, please just answer yes to your specific question.

Thanks everyone!

Townfields every time - fantastic selection of bits and very knowledgeable staff - they do mail order as well as their fantastic stand at all the large shows and they also have a website

Do bits - particularly sweet iron ones - that aren't easily found anywhere else and have solved a couple of horses brakes problems without resorting to gags or pelhams

I get mine from loads of different places - am a bit 'bit' obsessed (sorry - poor joke

)

Uusually I try out what i already have and borrow from other people at the year - then buy online - or I do some research and look into what sort of bit i would like to try - maybe speak to a bit expert - then buy usually online - mainly ebay, but also online tack shops...

I sometimes use bit trail facilities - depending how expensive the bit is - I like to have a selction anyway!

The only answers you can give on your poll are yes so I will just answer here. I buy my bits from Shop4Bits, normally I know exactly what I need and what action I need/ want and go from there. They do a 30 day trial which means if I need to make changes it only costs me £5! There website is very helpful and they are great to speak to if you need any help.

I normally get replacements of bits from my local tack shop.

I'm in the process of trying out new bits, and have got fed up buying them fron saddlers to find they don't work the way I want. Expensive.
I've just dicovered the joys of 'shop4bits' as well! 30 days trial. brilliant.

I buy mine from the tackshop or from the internet. I would like to get someone out to watch me ride and look at his mouth to advise on bits, never found someone that does this though.

I buy mine from tack shops or the net. I hace changed my horses bit twice. He is now in a loose ring french link snaffle which hopefully he'll stay in x
