Ok basically a question for everyone who competes in the midlands. What centres do you compete at and would you reccomend them? This is show jumping btw. At the moment mainly unaffilated but also interested in affilated. At the moment I'm doing Solihull, Rugby, Weston Lawns, Allens Hill and am possibly trying Tack Farm EC out.

Also (sorry another question) what cross country courses would you reccomend locally to try out? I know of solihull, rugby, and off-church. Would be interested in a couple of Pre-novice courses.

Thanks for taking time to read, hope it makes sense!!

Midlands..... i'm more north so not sure if too far but i use
Kingswood BSJA/dressage
Hargate BSJA/dressage
Beaver Hall BSJA/dressage
Marchington (Field House)
Eland Lodge (XC course there too) BSJA/ dressage
Catton Park UK Chasers/BE XC course
Caverswall BSJA BSJA

I think some have unaffiliated too.

Hope that helps

Ditto Claires suggestions for Sj. As for XC- Solihull, Draycott, Eland, Stafford, Sansaw, Prestwold all do PN

You seem further north than me, but if you're going to try Tack Farm you could try the new Bromyard Equestrian Centre (indoors aff and unaff) their website is : www.bromyardequestriancentre.co.uk or Hartpury College - more Glos, but easy from the motorway.
Again, if you're coming further south Sapey is open for XC schooling, especially now they've had their p2p. Tack Farm has a XC course too - a friend went there the other week and said the ground was good, but a fairly short course. Lincomb Farm at Stourport is good also (its where Austin O'Connor is based) Hope that helps! Have fun!!

In addition there is

Hilltop XC just outside Ledbury off the M50 and Pauntley XC at Newent, which is off the M50 again. Both do schooling/hire facilities.

Im a little further down, but use

Sollihull
Addington
Patchettes
Towerlands
Keysoe
Malthouse
Tring & District

All do sj?...not sure what level your looking at though?
