A good friend of mine bought a horse 10 weeks ago. It was off someone who she had been working for.
To cut a long story short, she picked the horse up and noticed it has one slightly blood shot eye. Ever since she got the horse, all she has been paying for is vets fees. They have just identified after several visits/xrays/scopes/medication/sedation etc that horse has a growth hence half of it's face is slighty swollen. The vet first came out 2-3 weeks after the date she picked said horse up.
My friend has just shy of 1000 in vets bills so far and this is only the beginning. The horse will need to either be sent for a scan at horsey hospital and then an operation or PTS if my friend can not afford it all.
She has insurance but because the vet was called out only 2-3 weeks (i think she said 2 weeks) after she bought it, it is not covered.
She tried getting in contact with previous owners but will not answer the phone.
Is there anything she can do?
