I am a bit new to travelling horses in trailers so need some advice please..
When tied to a piece of baling twine attached to the ring high up on trailer inside friends pony got its head under rope - no panic as sensible sort. Yesterday my horse caught headcollar on fitment on front of centre partition which should hold headguard when you have one, luckily headcollar broke no problems, rest of journey horse loose and quite happy. Just feel that the tethering position is a bit awkward and also had to rig something up to get haynet in a good place. As I see it I have these options - travel the horse untied with no headcollar on, tie him up tighter or use cross ties would be interested in any comments or tips?
