I am searching horsemart, horse deals and horsequest every day but coming up with a blank. I am also searching Horse and Hound and Horse exchange when I remember.
I have been to Throstle Nest, Hey Farm and a local feed place but the advert are all for either really young horses that need bringing on or for very small ponies. Even the loans (which I don't really want to go down that route unless it's with view to buy attached) are for 16hh or over.
I have very few horsey friends and am at a loss where to look next! How hard can it be to find a 15.1hh - 15.2hh sensible mw horse for £5000? I feel a bit bad as I have a stable on retainer but am only paying less than half what they can get usually and I'm sure they've had people looking for livery places - two stables have been filled this week

Seems like Kent and Sussex have all the horses I like and I don't want to travel that far! Sorry for the whinge.....Strawberry scones and tea if you got through all that

Don't despair. The right one must be out there. We have got a 15.1 dressage horse and they are few and far between. Keep looking at the ads or think about putting a wanted ad on. Don't forget ads get added all the time so just keep checking.
 
Ohh..sounds like your after one just like my horse...who would be going for about £5.5K...and I'm in Notts....only slight problem is I haven't completely decided about selling at the mo!

I'm surprised you are finding it difficult....how long have you been looking?
 
On and off since about Feb/March but seriously for about 6 weeks. I'm just worried I might have to give up retained stable although to be honest I'd pay full price to keep it. I don't want to travel too far away as I'm hoping to take my instructor to view, once I find any I like, and she isn't going to want to have whole days away. I'm really fussy so have only viewed two. I want something that isn't going to tank off with me - I don't mind a few canter strides so long as I can rely on the breaks working! Also need it to have done some stuff (only low level stuff), I already have a project horse and don't want another. Horse would have a home for life (unless I died

) and be totally pampered.
 
WeeBrown....how do you feel about dealers? i have a possible suggestion but you need to be open minded....

i totally understand yous, i to am lookin for a horse, more 16.2 ( i have a thread horse hunting help) and i cannot find anything, i think im gona go to dealers as they deal in loads of what i want, and constantly have new/more in

it is so frustrating
