where has control panel gone?

Just come back for the first time since new forum layout.

I am being blind and can't find the old control panel section - please help!

Do you mean the one that is top left, next to the "Log Out" button ? I also seem to get it to come up from my private messages page.

Ah ha, yes that's it -I wanted to be able to view the threads I was subscribed to.
