Ok so im seperating from my hubby....came as quite a shock and just coming to terms with things really....
he moves out of our house in April due to a new job with flat and has today bought himself a brand new Audi tt and has freely admitted he is up for dating again...! Im a student, with three jobs, looking for a lodger so I can afford to live and stressing out over assignments and exams...

Well ive joined match.com, to have a look at internet dating - just out of interest and once im back on track to start dating again im hoping, I can re-gain some confidence....but how come I only get winked at and emailed by strange looking/not my type guys!! I give everyone a chance - I promise...but when is Hugh Jackman meant to be coming along...? Just someone who likes horses and travelling is all I want really....maybe a cowboy....:0).... what is it with guys nowadays - they just dont approach women anymore in bars and clubs...I think I must just have stay away slapped across my back....
Advice...

I think most of us guys see ourselves as ether the hammer or the nail sounds like yours is a hammer us nails like to be a little cautious !!! hey nice reiner by the way;)

Sorry to hear you are having a tough time at the moment. Re; men, it just seems to be English blokes who are useless at making an effort, all the foreigners are much better at pulling!

Blimey - asking a question like that is going to open a can of worms!!! In short I don't know and have given up looking - that way I have more time to spend with my horses....;-)

PS was convinced by my concerned attached friends to try the internet thing - OMG! never again. I would rather remain single and go slightly mad....!

I guess it doesn't help to say that I'm married to one...

there are decent men out there, just relax and don't look and they all seem to pop out of the woodwork

Ok, I only used to go out with really goodlooking guys and they were complete swines and then a friend and I put an ad in the paper for people to go to the cinema and racing etc with. 30 people turned up and 2 couples are married (inc. me)and 1 still living together after 11 years. My hubbie is lovely - not stunning looking but such a lovely person and because of that I respect him I love him to pieces and he is so sexy, fab sense of humour - so girl, 4get Hugh Jackman, personality lasts looks dont.

oh and yes, foreign men are really good at pulling but my english guy is the best at long term relationsips. I was married to a spaniard for 10 years and he was a serial philanderer.

thanks everyone - always good to hear others views - especially on valentines day :0(
Yep thats my boy - I spend most of my spare time with him at the moment :0)

2 girls talking, one says "Why can't I find a kind, sensitive, caring, romantic, good looking man?" Her friend replies "Because men as good as that have got boyfriends already.

hahaha, i just made myself a death by chocolate cake and had a cuddle with my cat! great valentines!
All the nice men are unatractive and all the hot ones are either gay or idiots. I've really given up now, think life should be spent with friends, animals and very little else, its amazing what happens when you widen your friend circle a little though. I would also suggest watching yes man, that film cheered me right up!

I want your coloured cob so if she doesn't want to swap I will have him!!
As for blokes, I joined Match, total waste of money, just got the mingers and ones that were old enough to be my dad, and I am no spring chicken! I am going to post about non horsey other halves and how men don't seem to like sharing their lives with horses, women interested in horses and how we have to Lurrrrve their hobbies!

I completely know the feeling and have now given up for the time being. I'm at uni too and with a horse I just don't have time, maybe in the summer I'll have a look. I've tried a bit of internet dating and arranged a date only to chicken out at the last second. Sometimes I feel its the option as guys you meet in bars and clubs are often undesirables. Maybe just give yourself time to get your life straightened out get a new housemate etc. I know how you feel though the day after me and my ex broke up he started seeing one of my so-called friends. Its tough. Hugs!!
