My friends and I are looking for pony on loan but are finding it incredibly difficult to find one!

We want something for 3 novice children to learn on.
We are all experienced horse owners and have our own stables and land.

So far we have been offered two youngsters and one pony that was strong on a lead rein.

Where do you find decent, older ponies these days?

I think really good genuine ponies that have been outgrown are normally snapped up by friends or other members pony club? I know we have a waiting list for our boy! Good luck though :)

We don't want a star, just a reasonably behaved pony!

Age or technical unsoundness would not be an issue.

As we have all only really got back into horses in the last two years we don't know lots of people - but have asked around all our friends.

Even the local rescues we have asked have only got youngsters, and Personally I don't like inexperienced children and young ponies together.

The kids want to do some in hand showing and hack out with us leading them.
