Where have you sold successfully ?

Have decided to sell my horse. He's outgrown my short legs. But now I've made the decision I want to do it fairly fast to avoid changing my mind.

Where's the best place to advertise ?

I've advertised in H&H and in horsemart and had loads of response through both. Both horses went within a couple of weeks and I was still getting loads of calls afterwards

Local agricultural stores and tack shops normally have a for sale board, and it doesn't cost much. Adtrader is really good and cheap too.

I decided to sell mine a while back & mentioned it at my Tack Shop. That was on one day, I hadn't even had time to write out an advert & someone phoned me the next day to come & see him. By the lunchtime he was sold.

All it cost me was a a couple of bottles of wine to my saddler

Horsemart worked for me had loads of calls sold within the week.

Last one I sold was gone the same day that the ad came out in H&H, it may be pricey but it tends to do the job!

Thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll use H&H & Horsemart. I've sold through H&H once before. Anyone know what the print deadline is for this coming Thursday's H&H ?

I'm off to write my ad, but don't worry I promise it won't turn up on here as a "how much" !
