For goodness sake, where is spring?. Getting sick of the cold and wet.. winter grazing is trashed. Poor neds are fed up of the mud, and I am using hay like there is no tomorrow..don't know how I am going to get my grey white for show season... He seems to be really enjoying have a good roll in the deepest mud he can find. Arrghh,he has turned into a dun... Show season.. who am I kidding.. schooling is impossible with no menage.. snow is forecast now...Snow is good, clean and white...then it melts and makes more mud.. will this weather ever end...

Hang in there, it can't be far away !...... Can it ? I am battling another cold and pretty much have been ill now since december with shingles then chest infections etc.... Most of the time riding is just a thought, I am so knackered by the time I have done everything else all I want to do is sleep ! My 2 r getting through hay like u wouldn't believe and I am still in full winter gear when at yard... It's mid march !!

COME ON SPRING

No mediterranean climate here, I don't remember having such a cold winter like its been this year. Meant to stay cold until mid April :( just wish this constant rain would stop.

I'll start going to church again if it does...

Looks set to be cold next week too with snow in the forecast.

In April last year we had crows trying to build nests in the barn with sticks. You can't imagine how many sticks they kept bringing in. At any rate it bugged me because this was highly unusual. As it turns out I now know why they tried to build in the barn.

So everyday I go out and pray I don't see crows trying to build in the barn. I'm sick of the amount of hay we're going through. Have no idea if stocks will even last til more can be made or if good enough stuff will get made. I have to have hay year round as nobody is on full time grazing. And yes humans, horses, and dogs are all fed up with the mud and muck. I'm sick of being what seems like disgusting all the time.

So hoping we have a good summer. The first person who complains about heat and flies gets banned!

We have been promised snow for tomorrow and Saturday..and im meant to be competing sat and sun...grrr.

I assume my lorry wont get out of farm lane again.

Really am sick of it now.

Best its nice by April 19th for my bikers weekend...or else!!!

My other half is a self employed valetor and detailer, the weather is killing us :( looks like my childhood memories of long hot summer days at the shows with the ponies are long gone :(
How long before the cross country courses have to be made 'all weather'

We have had snow for days now and it keeps falling. Luckily its been quite wet snow so not lying as deep as it could be.
I am sick to the back teeth of it, snow, cold, the mud underneath. The forecast for the next week is snow flurries, this time last year it was lovely.

Keep wondering what the summer will be like, we really need a break from the wet.

:( appy is now sound and had his first hack today with racehorse second hack back after off with ulcers......he came back with so much mud in his booties I had to pressure wash his tootsies and booties before he went out!

We better have a good summer!!!!

Agree . . . totally fed up now. Having to feed more forage than I normally would at this time of year, still having to give Speedibeet, and don't get me started on having a beige horse who should be grey/white.

We need sunshine, grass, dry tracks and warm days so I can stop rugging the Donkey to the eyeballs just to keep him warm enough.

Sigh.

Knowing my luck this cold wet weather will be replaced by a red hot summer with scorched grass and we will still have to buy hay...
