I need to buy some more Rubber Matting- already have Equimats but need some more matting for 2 stables- Don't really want to pay the price for Equimats again so does anyone have some recommendations for good rubber matting at a cheap and cheerful price. Am based in West Sussex, locally the cheapest I've found is £29.95 per sheet. Any names of mail order companies would also be gratefully received too.
Many thanks for your help!...

eBay, theres some fantastic 18mm 6'x4' ones on there for £23.03

I have just bought 24 mats from Horsemat.co.uk They look v good - arrived today....6x4 and 18mm thick, v heavy!!!

Order process was good and delivery was quick - but beware! their couriers are a bit precious and you need to have plenty of hard standing for them to deliver.....muddy fields not good!

Good luck!

Cheap is fine if they do the job - a lot of the really cheap (and not so cheap) ones don't.

The best mats I have found for combining economy with all the other features you want are the M8 mats from Fieldguard - http://www.fieldguard.com/matting_guide.html

They work out at £165 odd (excl. VAT & delivery) for a 12x12 stable. They are VERY soft and warm - so need minimal bedding. They're quite heavy compared to the EVA ones - but only 3x4 so easy enough to handle.

Many thanks to both of you- I will check out your recommendations and order some soon!, luckily for the delivery driver they haven't got to drop them in a field!! but I agree they are rather heavy to handle!...

I got these rubber mats from ebay. They came within 72 hours and are fab. We bought some much more expensive ones 5 years ago, but these are even better.

Those are the BEST mats, i much prefer them to the bubble top ones
