where is the rain they promised??

I was expecting to wake uo to wet ground as they had forecasted rain since early hour here and none. Weather forecast for this area staes heavy rain fir now and we have clear blue skies. Im south lincs, anyone in my area seen the rain, is it heading my way?

The promised overnight rain failed to materialise but it appears that a sparrow has spat on my car - that is the only possible reason I can come up for the tiny amount of drops of moisture on my car I would hardly call it rain! Hopefully it will come, I do my nightly hosepipe round the garden raindance, I obviously need to work on this more

We have had some during the night in Staffs and just having another shower here! Love it! However hope it stops at lunchtime for a couple of hours when my daughter has PC jumping rally (on a surface)! I'm sure the rain will reach the whole country over the next few days!
