Where is this ponies back?!

I'm usually polite (I hope) but REALLY I'd like to slap that bloke around the chops.

Edit: ".. sat back like a little lamb" Well not through choice...

When I was about 12, my father bought me a supposedly 4yo, broken to ride 14h coloured cob. He was actually rising 2 years old and was somewhat surprised when I sat on him. We got a vet to check his actual age and, when we found out his actual age, turned him away to grow. He was super laid back and I used to take him out on 'hacks' in-hand with other people from my yard. I eventually got on him when he was rising 4 and I couldn't keep up when everyone else wanted to canter. He gave me a 'what are you doing up there' look before calmly cantering along with the others.

I think I've had the misfortune of meeting this person. The term "ridden" is used very loosely. Just cos you can sit on it doesnt mean it is broken :(

I'm glad OP you brought this up, was just looking through DD myself and saw this poor soul.
Hope someone kind can give ''them all' a lovely home where no lead weight will ever sit on them again.

But I guess, if somebody bought him there'd be more, and more and there will just be an everlasting chain of ponies that are knackered or like this. :(

Yep, tempting as it is to go and buy up all the poor little fuglies, you're just putting money in the breeder/dealer's pocket, and showing that they can make a profit by effing up ponies.

Sad but true :(
Wish I had the money and knowledge for this little poppet. Makes me so angry when people just breed for money, and don't consider anything.

It's all about money and it's disgusting.
Breeding animals = easy money on this bloody planet. No consideration for welfare at all. They're just money making machines. Really upsetting.

See this is what I don't get. You guys are all saying these breeders just do it for the money. This pony is supposedly 4 years old and they are selling it for what? £350? Where I live that wouldn't even keep a mare alive for 2 months and that's forgetting about the 18 months it takes to keep her till the foal is 6 months old. And then to keep it for another 3 years. That works out a sight more than £350. So unless they buy from other even dimmer breeders who sell for pennies to the auctions or whatever then there aren't many people making much money out of a pony such as this. I can't see why anyone would bother breeding anything if all they end up with is a piddly £350 once it gets to riding age.
