HG, did i read on one of your other posts that u AI'd at home yourself?
If I was to continue breeding in the future i would like to do a course in this. Do you have to be a vet?? And i've seen a course on Twemlows website, any idea if this is any good??
No you don't have to be a vet, the course was great I really enjoyed it except for the having to stick my finger in the cervix of a uterus taken from a dead horse
Evening all!
Hope you are all well.
Getting on this site has been a nightmare recently! I have had to spend my time online elsewhere...
Have just booked a trip to Paris to watch "Les 4 Ecoles" a show involving 80 horses from the Cadre Noir, Spanish School Of Vienna, Jerez and Portugal. Cue lots of airs above the ground...Yippeeee!
I had such a good lesson yesterday- he was an absolute star so I was really keen to get on tonight and continue. I couldn't school today 'cause I quite literally couldn't afford the diesel to get there
He's competing next weekend XC and then dressaging the following weekend so I have to save my pennies
Did your cheeks go rosy or did you just giggle all girlishly! ha ha ha!
Glad you had a good time, the last time I had a lesson, I got screamed at and sworn at by the instructor because apparently I wasn't sending my horse forward enough over the fences but by this time my confidence was shattered and my competitiing days were drawing to a close!
he he he..............that was an exceptionally witty week in the breeding forum!
I keep saying i'm going to ride again but then I keep putting the only two mares i'll ride (more than just a quick whiz round the manege anyway) in foal and my gelding is 21 and retired!
Sorry LLT2 for being so quiet this past few days. Been ill (felt sick as hell and now am full of the cold and on antibiotics!!) plus have been trying to organise the SSH Mare & Youngstock gradings which are starting on Wednesday through to Sunday this week. Spent 13 hours yesterday putting together a catalogue for 150 horses!!!!
Still to do the front page then email a copy to all the entrants and venues. What a nightmare its been......felt like I was going cross-eyed yesterday!!
I may be a tad quiet at the beginning of the week as I still have organising to do, but I have not forgotten you all.
