Due to a massive increase in hours at work I was thinking about looking for a sharer for Millie but not having much luck!! I'm flexible on days and ideally would like someone two to four days a week, only hacking. Unfortunately I don't have a arena that a sharer would be able to use, and schooling is limited to in the field when ground is good. Horse on question is 16.2 and we'll mannered, never strong, forward going and not ploddu, could ride her down the m62 she's so good on traffic, doesn't buck rear or nap.
I'm not asking for any money or help with any chores but everyone who's contacted me want to either move her to another yard, want to jump/ compete/ gallop every day or want me to pay them !!! Where am I going wrong ?

Have you tried advertising on preloved? Equine loans is also a good website. You would have sounded ideal for me if I didn't have a horse to share already.

Have you tried putting a note on the boards of the local tack shops and speaking to the owners to see if they have heard of anyone that is looking to share. Might be worth a try if you have not done so already. Sounds lovely type, good luck with your search, hope you do find someone nice.

I've advertised on Facebook but seem to get a lot of unsuitable people . I don't mind teenagers as long as they are sensible but I seem to get a lot of total novices messaging me. Will put an ad on pre loved tonight

I am interested to know where to go to look for a share/loan, I am in Oxford but it seems difficult to find a site that has local horses. I am happy to pay my way for the right horse, care for the horse, follow a timetable and stick to the owners rules regarding what the horse can do. I just want a horse to hack, school if appropriate (lessons too if allowed), keep fit on and to love and care for. I have been offered horses which reared habitually (I was not informed of this vital info) couldn't hack alone (ditto) and on and on. I suppose people want to loan their problems. I must say I would pay a decent amount for a horse that I could enjoy, school and compete modestly. I take lessons, am ...errm...well over 21 and have really good references from previous loaners but I can't find a horse........any ideas people?
