My friend has 2 school masters (in there 20's) and was think of getting a sharer. Both horses are lovely and there is also a pony available. Friend has 2 competition horses in work and is finding it hard to keep them all.
People have suggested PTS, but they are both fit and healthy and could give someone a lot of fun. Good hacking and an indoor school.
So questions are:
a) Where to advertise?
b) How much would you ask for? They could ride everyday if they wanted

Based near Canterbury
Thanks

PS I have no financial involvement with these horses, just want to help friend and horses

I was found on newrider when i was a sharer.

Cost well- some charge up to £15 per ride. personally i think the help is more important in a lot of cases and finding a reliable, able sharer can be worth their weight in gold so worth being flexible.

I found my sharer on preloved, (free) I didnt want financial help just someone capable of bringing on / schooling a 4 yr old, and i got one! BHS level 3 and she is coming on leaps and bounds! all she does is rides, i do stable and field duties, but if i ask she will cover, she is doing me a huge favour by bringing her on, and showing and competing her in the future, sharer is great!

I have found preloved really good in the past as well. Also, if your on facebook or knows someone who is theres so many posts on the equestrian pages for loans, sharers, sales in the local areas x

I found my last two shares through local facebook horsey groups. I did talk to people through preloved too though.

I haven't paid anything for my last three shares, two I just did yard duties etc and my current one I don't actually have to do anything although I do quite a bit but because I choose to. My first share I paid £100 a month to ride twice a week, including all yard duties, so going to the yard twice a day which looking back I think was a bit steep actually! As I could only school or hack, I couldn't jump without the owner being around.

So really it depends on how much the owner needs the money vs the help, how often they'll be riding, what they can do and also if they're the right rider how much they can afford.
