Hope you can help. I was the one who is getting a RR pup very soon from my friend (she had two without ridges), well she wants to know where the best place is to advertise the others - the ones with ridges. This is the first litter she's bred and she's a bit lost as to where best to advertise this breed. She's just placed an ad in the Freeads paper but wants to know where you experts would recommend. Any thoughts please. The pups are now ready to be homed. We're based on Cambs/Suffolk borders - just outside of Newmarket. Thanks in advance.

The owner of the stud dog should be able to help her if it is the first litter she has had - or try the Kennel Club (assuming they are KC registered) or RR breed clubs (who usually have a 'puppy register')

Freeads paper wouldn't be my first choice for selling them

I think I know somebody who knows the breeder and is desperate for one. I have sent her the link to this site. She lives in Suffolk/Cambridgeshire

[/ QUOTE ] If you want to PM me with any details of the person, I would be more than happy to get my friend to contact her direct.

Agree with Acolyte , the KC will put the litter on its puppy list when you register the pups for a small fee, the Breed Clubs also have a puppy list for members. I would also try the dog weeklies - Dog World and Our Dogs. Plus the owner of the stud dog should of offered to help if you are first timers ; assume they found you someone to check the litter for DS?

I advertised my whippets on the KC web site and Horse and Hound, that way you get country type homes for them. RR's are a breed that need the right sort of home, I do hope your friend will be fussy where they go.

[/ QUOTE ] Fussy isn't the word! If her daughter had her way - none of them would be re-homed. They've already turned a few people down who wanted one.

[/ QUOTE ] It's my friend who has bred them - she is a first time breeder - and its her own bitch and dog. Thanks for the suggestions, I will let her know. She is getting people enquiring by word of mouth, but is being very picky as to where they go. And yes, the litter has been checked for DS. They are absolutely adorable and can't wait to get our boy home here.
