My friend has had this mare since she was 6months old. She's now 7 years old. She was broken professionally in the winter of her 5th year. Since being in ridden work, she will be brilliant for a few months and then out of the blue, will have a random explosion. This has understandably knocked my friends confidence to a point where she no longer wishes to ride the mare. They have 4 horses between her and her mum and this mare was suppose to be her mums ridden horse, but at almost 60 years of age, her mum has realised she is just not suitable. She is a sharp, spooky horse and it seems that when something upsets her, it really throws her. She has a fear of poles too. They have recently started some natural horsemanship lessons with her which seem to be going well. But as they know she is not suitable as a riding horse, they have decided to advertise her. Problem being, where is the best place to advertise a horse like this? They are being totally honest about her and don't want much money for her, just the right home.
Will also add that she has her teeth, back and saddle checked regularly to ensure it's not any discomfort in those areas.
