I wanted to buy a breastplate with a neckstrap going across the whithers for cross country.
What brand would anyone recommend?
I don't want to pay a ridiculous price for it (under £100 if possible)
Where could I find one?

I have a kincade breastplate which comes with a martingale attachment that I have had about 2 years which fits my tb perfectly and have never had any probs with it. Also have a gfs one but I think they stopped making this particular one cost me about £35 and they only make the more expensive one now.

maybe a sabre kompetitor, or a plain sabre breastplate. the kompetitor is elasticated and around £65 so not too expensive!!! website is www.sabreleather.co.uk

mine has and it is just a normal hunting breastplate - it has the attachment across the withers that acts as a neck strap. cost me £30

Hi Mr Sunny,

I have a full size hunting style breastplate you can have for the cost of the postage - it is surplus to requirements and just sitting in my tack box. pm me if interested.

I find the neck pieces are too far back on breast plates, so if I want the extra bit of support (very often do!!!) I just stick on a neck strap to!!! Its becoming my most important piece of equipment!!!! Great in so many ways!!
