I feel as though I have spent the last three months looking for a young horse and having no success whatsoever I now feel as though I have exhausted the websites etc and am losing the will to live!!!

Any suggestions would be very very much appreciated.

Well I can point you in the direction of a 7/8yo gelding 17.1!!!! by proset!! But sorry don't know of anything at 3 year old! I'll keep my eyes and ears open though, what price range are you talking????

The woman I bought Bert from only brings back colts but she did once say to me she would find a mare if I wanted one. Might be worth giving her a ring as she often goes over to Germany and has loads of contacts over there. She also has a good eye for a horse which also helps

pm me if you want her number.

A friend in France was looking at a 3 yr old CB filly for dressage.

The problem in France is that horses are competing in dressage at 3 and a slow maturing breed like a CB won't be able to catch up.

She said the filly was very nice and said if she were still in UK she would have bought her like a shot.

In Oxon bred by Harrington, I think sire Beamish Cheeky Charlie. PM me if you are interested and I will get a phone number.

Definatly speak to Suzanne at Keystone stud, she always has lovely stock

Sadly my own stock are too young or too small. My top filly is only a 2yo this year and her year older half sister is only going to make 15.2/3hh

Also be worth asking Sian reade at Bluewood stud, if she doesnt have anything I bet she knows someone who does.

Gary Williams has a very good reputation for good quality dressage youngsters, I knew a few people in Herts who would only go to him when the time came to buy. Not cheap though.

My friend bought her Dutch WB from Benny de Ruiter in Holland as a 3 year old for dressage, they were fab to deal with and the horse is a star. He's now 5 and a half and just moved into Elementary. He was un-broken and still entire when she saw him first time but they gelded and broke him for her.......

Sorry meant to say he's just moved in to Medium dressage!! And he's got the most awesome temprament, his sire is Padinus who is apparently known for his nature......
