A really nice Welsh section a filly yearling or can wait for a foal at weaning / I have looked everywhere I can think of but no joy been offered a few Welsh b so how do I tell the level of quality of conformation for showing as not had much to do with these type. OH likes to do well and he is venturing into his first ownership of a pony after 41 years with me he finally has admitted defeat and is looking for one of his own. I would personally prefer it not to be grey as I will be the one getting it ready to show

Take a trip to the sales later on in the year, you will be able to get the catalogue to check the bloodlines you are interested in and have the chance to compare the quality on the day.
Otherwise do similar go to some county shows, even better the Royal Welsh and see what catches your eye then approach the studs and see what they have, you can probably do a fair bit online to find the type you like but seeing real quality in front of you is the best way to find a good youngster, they do come in colours other than grey but you will be ruling out rather a lot of the best ones.

I purchased one of their welsh A ponies along the grape vine, and she turned into a lovely versatile pony >>> http://www.cui-stud.co.uk/
