With my car and trailer now on the market its time to think about looking about for a lorry. So would like some suggestions on where to keep an eye out please :)

Im after a 3.5 tonner - budget isnt huge at around 6k but I dont mind something older or higher milage - no transit types or the 'van' ones though. I have seen a couple about within that budget that look nice but as I have only just advertised the car and trailer so far I havent been in a buying position.

So far I have had my eye on horse and hound, horsemart, horsequest and ebay. Any other places people can suggest for me?

Thanks!

I have a friend selling a Merc horse box, but is a 7 1/2 ton, stalled for 3 large horses, just been plated for another 12 months and has living selling for £3000. she is selling as she need's a 5 stalled horse box. p.m for her number :)

Thing is Im not licenced for a 7.5 tonner and as we we only be travelling the one I think it would be a bit of overkill!

There is a lovely one near us for sale which I think is a 5.5 tonner and very very tempted but again it will mean doing the cat c1 licence at the cost of a small fortune.

Should I go down this route does anyone have any advice on it? Can you still get a provisional licence for practice before your test?
