Just looking for a bit of advice and if I am looking for the impossible!

I have a 17hh ID x, who is going really nicely at the moment and we are out BSJA most weekends and getting better with each weekend. However sticking to the BN and Disc classes at the moment.

I have decided I have the time and finances to fund another horse horse alongside my current one, so am looking for either:

a) Experienced SJ horse that has been there and done it - now looking for a quieter life with the odd 1.10m classes and 1.15m classes thrown in. Age immaterial, ie 15yrs old plus. To introduce me to the larger tracks so I can gain the experience for when my 17hh is ready to take them on.

b) A fun 16hh max, age again immaterial as both options would have forever homes with me! To do the amatuer classes 80cm, 90 cm and 1m, that is fun and quick against the clock!

Budget is fairly limited for both of these options as OH has set it!

However, said horse would have a home for life and all the fuss/attention/apples they could ever want!

Are these sorts of horses out there? Am I looking for the impossible? Where would you look? Am I better off waiting till the winter?

Many thanks
x
