Where to look for a new horse?

I have decided to look for another horse.....nothing flashy as I already have a wb 3yr old. I just want a cob that I can break and do the odd bit with and dad can hack. Everywhere I seem to look all the horses have 'hoys potential' or are 'potential superstars'. Where are all the bog standard good fun (and cheap) cobs hiding?

Cobs are the 'in thing' at the moment (I love them so I think they should be!) but because of that you can get rid of any notion that a cob will be cheap - there are bargains to be had but due to the 'fashion' these are now few and far between!

Whereabouts are you and whats the budget?

Am based in Lancs....budget is flexible, but was rather naievely thinking around £1000 for an unbroken cob type
