Can anyone help me? I am a small scale competition rider who has been tentatively looking to relocate with my 5 horses, but am really struggling to find anything suitable. I freely admit I have quite a specification list to make it worth while taking the plunge and move, but I am sure it is out there somewhere!
My perfect situation would to be to have 4-5 boxes on a private yard or atleast a quiet livery yard. A large arena with good surface is essential as is abundant all year turnout. Other pluses are horsewalker, good off road hacking and nearby gallops. Indoor arena would be heaven, but not essential as would be on-site training (dressage or jumping). Ideally i would be looking for some sort of assisted DIY so that I could have reliable, experienced back up to do basic care when I am away competing and having the odd day off. in return I am an experienced rider and could offer services in exchange or of course pay for it! I think boxes on a private, professional yard would suit me best; I really not looking to be on a busy DIY livery where everyone turns up at different times and does there own thing. Finally looking in Glouscestershire/wiltshire/east Somerset area and surrounds in quiet location but reasonably close to motorway and atleast one decent show centre.

So far I can only find larger whole yards to rent or DIY livery places, but i can't help feeling that there must be private yards out there looking to rent out some boxes to one person. i have reasonable budget, but not silly money! If anyone knows of this perfect yard or where to look i would be grateful of any help, thanks

I've seen one or two adverts like this on horse groups on Facebook... Where a private yard owner (this was in Cardiff area) has a couple of 'vacant' stables that they'd prefer to livery to one person...

So might be worth checking around on FB for horse groups in the area you are considering moving to...

Where have you seen the whole yards advertised as that's what I'm looking for.

Julie Tew, Northleach has boxes going spare or Robin Dumas, Rosamund Farm. Phone round the professional yards and they may have space.

I have a small yard in Redmarley, near Hartpury with 4 stables free at the moment. School is sand and rubber but only 20x40 and I don't have any jumps (but plenty around to hire). Message me if you're interested and I'll send you more details.
Otherwise Fairfields stables in Newent have a separate barn and excellent facilities so you could contact Vanessa about hiring the barn as a whole?

It's a pity you don't live closer to us, I know of a livery yard, ex racehorse trainer, boxes with anti weave grills, rubber matting, 24/7 turnout, hay included, lungeing ring, horse walker and sand gallops, plus P2P jumps and 120 acres to ride across, plus the moors, rug cleaning, clipping, holidays catered for the list goes on, we were so sorry to leave there to move next door with our own stables and land.
But good luck in your search in your area
