Where to look to find sole use yard to rent?

I keep seeing pros relocating no bother. I would like to find a smallish yard for our ponies, with room to have a couple more as the older ones step down a bit and have sharers, so 6-10 boxes, similar acreage. But where on earth do you find such things?

I would try agricultural/land agents and put an advert if feed stores etc and see what comes. Bad time of year to go door knocking but I don't think you would get shot for asking local farmers if they have anything suitable.

I don't have as many stables but have about 8.5 acres, and my best friend recommended it to me when I was looking for somewhere to move my in foal mare. Owner had employed my BF to cover their holidays and mentioned they were going to look to rent it out.

Left for a wee while after I'd weaned my youngster but realised I couldn't cope with being back on a yard!
