Does anyone know the best way to sell a second hand saddle? I have two - one nice, one old but useful for a breaking saddle (not too worried if I dont sell the old one as I can use it as a spare breaking saddle myself). The nice one is 17 inches, medium width, Lovatt & Rickets. I guess it is a few years old, but has had very little use. I have considered ebay but the prices on there seem to be quite low (I dont want alot for it, but it is worth more than £100!!!). How else does anyone sell saddles? I have called my local saddlery but they only do part ex and I dont want a new saddle as I have just purchaced a beautiful butet...

Any ideas from you lovely lot??

Ebay works but putting a reasonable add up with a reserve price and buy it now options comes to about £16.
Then there's the final vlaue fee which for a £500 saddle is about the £40 mark.
You need to allow about £20 for shipping.

So can be costly.
