Where to sell working basset puppies ?

Our working basset bitch had 8 puppies ten weeks ago, we ve sold 3 and keeping another one. Has anyone got any top tips of where to advertise them ( 4 dogs , 1 bitch )? Also, if we ve still got a couple left, do you think a basset pack would take them for hunting ?

When you say working, what you you mean, is the dam from working stock, does she/has she ever worked herself, or is she simply working type as opposed to show type? I can breed a pup out of a bitch from working lines/not show type but if she herself has never worked or isn't titled then I can't call them working puppies, if you see what I mean.

Maybe advertise with local hunts or vets? Where have you tried already? Papers etc, word of mouth?

Sorry to hear you are having problems shifting them but it shows you how tough things are generally, which is one of the reasons why we no longer breed.

I don't know whether you intended to have a litter ready for Christmas, and I know a couple of people on here have bought puppies in time for the festive season, I am not criticising but it can be a minefield and that is why the famous slogan was invented, I'm afraid.

Im not sure I understand all tis breeding without homes being lined up for atleat all but maybe 1 or 2, esp if they are from good working stock

We have jsut been asked to rehome 3 bassett pups through our rescue *shakes head* and this is b4 the great breeders pre Xmas bonanza after mathe
