Where were the hunt demonstrators at the Labour Conference?

Peta, thats because it was decided that when the PMs wife's father has a drink or two on the LACS stall at the conference, and the PMs wife awards the prize for 'Best Stall' to LACS, then any stall standing for freedom and fair play wouldn't really have a hope in hell of influencing our most corrupt government since the Second World War, now would it? You KNOW it makes sense!

I'm not talking about stalls, I'm talking about the numpties screaming outside the conference until they're puce in the face whilst driving stakes through horses. All that huff and puff of a few years ago has vanished...

I think you are a bit slow.......most of us are hunting twice a week.

What is there to demonstrate about?

Bye-Bye

Very true! We needn't fight anymore, we're still hunting even though a ban has been passed.

What is my problem with some moron driving a stake through a horse on a Brighton street? You´re kidding, right?

No. Its dead, does it feel pain?

If the townies had a problem with death then they should give up their leather sofa's and hand bags.

I personally wouldn't do that and I'm not saying I agree with it, I could go as far as to say I couldn't look at it seeing as one of my horses disembowled itself when it impaled itself on a stake. I'm just asking what is your problem with doing that?

Our two pigs that we had from weaners, fed, scratched (and I even named them..worst thing I could do) currently have hooks through them and are hanging in a stable, do you have a problem with the slaughterman piercing a dead pig with hooks?

SM,

I think it was a hugely disrespectful and irresponsible to dump dead and impaled animals in the middle of a city road where kids (city kids mind that are not used to seeing carcasses) are walking by. The whole stunt reeked of the petulant, bully-boy attitude certain members of the pro hunt brigade often show.

You cant force people in to repealing the ban. It seems that the CA have realised this and are more often seen trying to win favour with toe curling displays of 'sucking up' to the general public.

This is a democracy and the ban was voted in because people wanted it. End of.

Let be realistic. The horse ends up at the kennels, use a winch to skin it, gutted, chopped up, hung up and fed to the hounds...is that showing a lack of respect?

Is butchering animals slaughtered for meat showing a lack of respect?

Is any of that done in public, on the streets ? Is any of that done to make a political point ? Do people kill animals to make point in a demonstration, or use dead animals in a demonstation ?

Not often.

''or use dead animals in a demonstation ?''

Plenty of photographs of dead foxes on LACS handouts/leaflets/propoganda. Hypocrite.

Thats such a no brain comment! A picture of a dead animal is not the same as a real dead animal. Im sure people would be less outraged if they had taken pictures of a dead horse and cattle in order to demonstrate and not the bloody animals themselves.

What do you mean in public? I've seen animals killed, am I not the public? Less than a hundred years ago, pigs/lambs e.t.c were killed up alleys in the town, in full view of anyone who wished to see. The only reason it isn't done nowadays is H&S, hygiene and the fact that abbatoirs go through such a mass of animals. The horse was not killed specifically for the demo, it was already dead, end of!
