Do you get yours from your local feed store/tack shop or do you buy online?

Is buying online worth the hassle or will I get just as much choice at my local?

Hi why don't you try Horse and Pony Direct on line. The supplements and balancers are excellent value for money. The more you buy (More than 3) its cheaper and free delivery on anything over £10!! I have got most of the people on my yard on them now they are great. My friend phoned them asking about products and they are made in the same place as other balancers which are dearer. I use the coat shine supplement on my boy and his coat is stunning and i get loads of comments about him. The delivery is normally the next day.

The internet, but i have started to have a relook at my boys feed and supps and was wondering if i was throwing money to the wind, because if he has enough exercise and is fed a good feed, he shouldnt need supps. Bone spavin no supplement is going to reverse it, soundness will be kept at bay with exercise and keeping the weight down, which will apply in most cases or arthritic origin. Hoof growth again if you are feeding the eight quantities as the manufacturer says and not reducing because 3 scoops looks a lot there should be enough biotin, zinc, copper etc to sustain good hoof growth and so on.

Hope this makes sense and it is how i am reading thing right now with my boy. Green mussel and shark cartlidge isnt going to repair wear and tear that is a natural process of ageing. It sure as hell is going to reduce the bank balance though.

if you are going to burghley feedmark do 50% deal usually , which means i buy mine for the year and pay for the ticket normally cheaper than buying the supplements on there own

Online is usually cheaper and more variety. Check prices each time you order as the same supplier may not be the cheapest next time as deals will vary each time you order. However my feed merchant sees if he can price match or do a little cheaper and if he can I buy off him.

Cheapest I've found the supplements I use is Viovet online :). Personally I find it less hassle than driving out of my way to go to tack shop, and they do have a good selection of supplements. I would be tempted just to order in what I needed at local tack shop however if I couldn't get all the supplements I needed in one place online/ with free postage.
