My Step father has kindly offered to buy me one for my birthday, his words were " its cheaper than a wheelchair or stair lift".

However, with all the recent speculation over point 2 / helite im really at a loss as to which air jacket to buy?

So which would you suggest? Looking for one air jacket, not with body protector built in, from a company that hopefully wont go bust any time soon! and around the £400 mark ( or not much more if it can be helped)

I do really like the Point 2 hunter one, in black, the size is perfect too.... what to do what to do!

Edit - Stupid title.. now i cant fix it :p

Ty Kindly :)

its all a bit confusing at the mo with the split of helite (the technolofy owners)and point two (the makers of the original jacket that employed the technology), im not sure what I would get atm cos you want to be able to get it serviced etc.

What do you mean by getting it serviced? Do you mean after an inflation?

The one I got for my OH, the air bag parts are velcro'd in place. The Co2 bombs can be bought at Halfords or any bike shop, they're cheap too. There'll always be a time when you forget to disconnect when dismounting. I don't know what happens the fastes, the inflation or the red face? probably about the same :o

You have to have air jackets serviced yearly lazy bee.

I've recently bought a hit air, it's by far more discreet and more comfy. If you have a black one, they're only £375, for other colours they're £425 so still cheaper than a P2 without the worry of who services what. Have a look back on previous threads, but most seem to prefer the hit air to the p2/helite.

Wow some really great responses ty!

The Hit-air ones look fab! And even look like the offer a bit more protection than the others. Nice sizes too. Perfect!
