I have recently brought a cheap dressage saddle which fits my horse. However in order to fit me correctly I need to use a back riser pad with as much "rise" in the back as possible and as little foam or padding in the fronts as possible. Does anyone have anything they would recommend using as a back riser pad?

Normall I would not have gone for a saddle which needs such adjustment but this is a second saddle that really won't be used much (I have a liovely jumping saddle that I use most of the time but just isn't suitable for dressage!) and I couldn't justify anything more expensive!

Many thanks for your help.

I use the NuuMed HiWither Combination Pad (see http://www.nuumed.com/products_corrective_pads1.html) - it's absolutely brilliant as you can adjust the pads. My old girl's back has dropped (she is 33!) and the saddler can't rise the back of the saddle anymore for it to sit in a level position. You can have pads on the front or the back so although it's expensive it's a bit of an investment as it can be used to correct all sorts. Hope that helps.
