Right i am going XC'in in a few weeks time with my M/W cob, and i am finding it VERY hard to find boots to fit her, so i was reccomended bandaging. However i am usure as to what bandages to use, she does not brush/ overreach etc but she isnt always the cleanest of Jumpers hence why i just want a bit of protection for her.
Can i use fleece/ polo bandages????

I was also recommended woof wear boots, however i cant finds any in the right size :-S !!!!!
(I am experienced at putting bandages on) :-P

Any thoughts??

Thanks

I really wouldn't use bandages for xc - they hold water so if they get wet they will become really heavy and uncomforatble. Plus if they come loose they could be really dangerous. If you have to use them I would sew them in place (running stiches down the side), but I would try to find some boots preferably.

You could use vet wrap for xc, that's what I use on my horse for xc if for some reason I can't use boots (ie. Boots would rub a cut)

Completely agree with this. I would really try to find some boots.

I use it with a bit of animaltex underneath or cotton wool or sometimes fibergee, it does take up some water but it hasnt been a major problem, as long as you take them off when you finish! I havent had too much of a problem with them soaking up water really, they take up about as much water as a normal xc boot.

vet wrap is very useful stuff!

You could use exercise bandages with porter boots ( LINK HERE ). Having similar problems, I know how difficult it is to find boots!

These are really lightweight and don't tend to hold water. I would suggest either stitching the bandages or using several rounds of insulating tape to make sure that they don't come undone, but otherwise this is what my friend always used to use eventing.
