Hi everyone! I am taking my pony to the beach soon!! It's the first time for both of us and I have chosen two possible beaches. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of either to help me make my mind up. First is cleethorpes beach and second is mockbeggar wharf, thanks :) x

Cleethorpes is great and you can ride for miles but there are dodgy mud flats so I wouldn't go too far towards to sea. I have ridden there with the riding school that is sadly no more, they would ride from the leisure centre down past the fitties and the yacht club, but not in the other direction past the pier. They never went too far away from the sand dunes though. You will need to check the tides, so you don't get into trouble as the water comes in very fast there, hence why its not wise to go too far towards the sea. Not sure if you can park in the leisure centre as it's pay and display, you might be able to park at the yacht club car park. I don't know how far you can ride as we only went for an hour!

maybe to far =========fraisthorpe {Bridlington south}take the twisty road on map== 8 mile long== enough beach even at high tide ===parking 25 yard from beach== snack bar===horses allowed on beach 24/7== small parking fee ===
