Horse has dust allergy, and is currently on 'dustless' shavings. I am soon to be moving yards and would like to try a new type of bedding ie Nedz Bedz.
Any reccomendations??
nedz bedz or hemcore are really good, and more absorbent than straw or shavings too! they are more expensive per bale, but you should find they last longer.
I use equisorb which is a flax bedding and i wish i had gone onto it years ago.
I pay 6.75 a bale for it which is a good price and i use one most weeks but top up with 2 every 3 weeks or so.
Its doesnt move about as its heavier but is still very warm and soft. I find it coats the poos and they are much easier to pick up with much less wastage and the wet binds together so no more wet mixed in with the dry.
We are presently using Nedzbed on trial for the Company. However it is a new one only on sale from about late January called Nedzbed Advanced. It is absolutely fantastic. We are using it on a real dirty 3 yr old stallion & have reduced from 3 barrows per day to between 1/2 & 3/4 of a barrow daily. I am absolutely amazed as the bed just keeps growing instead of getting wet. Well worth waiting for till January but I believe it also mixes well with the Nedzbed Pro.
