Which bit?

My new pony is being ridden in a KK Ultra at the moment, but although it is the right size and he seems to like the mouth piece it is rubbing. This obviously is not going to get better, and although bit guards will manage the issue I can't wear them for BD so it's only a short term solution.

Any suggestions on a good alternative? I don't think a smaller loose ring is going to work but I like the fact they can't lean on a loose ring as much as he has a tendency to drop onto his forehand.

Well, if he likes the bit, I wouldn't change it! I would either put lots of vasaline on affected area or you can get stick cushion pads to put on the bit its self, where it is rubbing!

I always used to ride George in a loose ring KK ultra because he leans and the loose ring seemed the answer,but after some advise I tried him in a myler mullen mouth hanging cheek and I have to say the transformation in him has been fantastic and he never leans on it - just a thought!
